or incorrect documents, applicants commit a variety of mistakes that lead to a
visa rejection. Here are 8 of those commonly found mistakes.
1.
Form Filling Errors

information. However, making mistakes isn’t the way out to finish the work off.
It requires patience and filling every detail very carefully to ensure that you
furnish information to the best of your knowledge, and it doesn’t create any suspicion that leads to rejection.
2. Submitting
Incorrect or Incomplete Documents
Regardless
of the country, you apply a visa for, the embassy/ consulate will require a particular set of documents to confirm your credibility, and also ensure your
return from the country you intend to visit. For instance, the embassy may
demand a financial statement to affirm your financial position or a photo ID
to confirm your identity. Nevertheless, a lot of applicants fail to submit the
right documents or miss out on some documents, which results in nothing, but
the rejection of the application.
3.
Non-Compliant Itinerary
Despite
knowing that the visa granted will be valid only for 30 days, some applicants
apply for a 45-day visa and submit an itinerary that’s 40-45 days long. Such

Showing the Return Journey by Rail/ Road/ Sea.
It

embassy requires return journeys. However, it is always better to show the
onward as well as the return journey by air. Show the return journey by rail/
road/ sea invites rejection of the application. Such a return journey can’t be
verified, and hence, the officials don’t have an option, but to reject the
application.

Showing an Incomplete Journey
Embassies
prefer itineraries that start from the home country of the applicant and end at
the same place. For instance, an Indian national starting his journey from
India must end his journey in India, irrespective of the number of countries
that he will be traveling throughout the journey. Hence, applicants must ensure
that they book a return ticket to their home country while applying for the
visa.
6.
Mentioning your Acquaintances in the Foreign Country
If
you mention your acquaintances in the foreign country, you may be required to
explain your relationship with the individual, and answering questions such as
for how long you’ve known each other, the profession of the individual,
submitting his/ her ID proofs, employment card, the bank statement of the
person, etc. With these questions, the embassy/ consulate would like to ensure
that your contacts in a foreign country aren’t involved in anything suspicious
or illegal.
7.
Mentioning the Purpose of Travel as Remote Work, Volunteering, House Sitting,
etc.
The
embassy disapproves of some reasons to travel. Some of them include remote
working, house sitting, work away, woofing, volunteering, etc. If you’ve
applied for a tourist visa, you must specify the reason as strictly tourism,
and nothing else. Indulging yourself in any remunerative activity needs a work
visa, and which is why specifying the above reasons will have your visa
rejected.
8.
Being Involved in Illegal or Criminal Activities
Being
involved in any kind of illegal or criminal activity the home country attracts
a guaranteed rejection of the visa at that particular point in time, as well as
for all the visa applications that one may make in the future. Even worse, you
maybe deported or permanently banned from entering a particular country in the
future.
